My Little Corner of the World

Hello fellow Internet surfer and welcome to my  page. I'm very glad that you made it this far . . . and I hope that you'll stick around long enough to get to know just a little bit more about me and my life. After all, these days, acquaintances that begin in cyberspace are often the most real, vivid, and long-lasting - and maybe that will be true of us.
 

My Background

I was born in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, to a very happy and special couple
( Amram and Miryam).Had a wonderful childhood until my mother died when I was
ten years old. From that moment my life changed drastically, I was almost alone,
except for my amazing and loving father.
I got some big help also in my life from my brother Isaac and his wonderful family
and my stepmother Simy and her son, my younger brother, Gaby.
I have added pictures of my brothers and wonderful families.
I got busy at school, graduated, and went to work for the Moroccan Government.
Few years later my life changed again.I met this Beautiful Girl (Helen) from the
Peace Corp, hitch-hicking on the way to Rabat, I promptly picked her up, and
shortly after, married her.
Then my life changed drastically again. We moved to the good US of A.
Got busy working, making a living and getting accustomed to a completely different
civilization. What a shock!!!!
Then my life changed again: We had a beautiful baby girl (Monique) and two years
later a wonderful baby boy (Ary). Worked harder to make a living.
Then my life changed again: had to send the kids to college. Worked even harder to
make a living.
Then my life changed a gain, the kids graduated from college (Monique as a  scientist in
Microbiology, and Ary as an Industrial Engineer). Oh what a relief no more tuitions.
Still have to work hard making a living.
It's not really all that bad. I love my life and wouldn't change anything.
 
 

My Interests

When I'm not working, I love to read fast and easy books if I'm tired, any other
kind of litterature if I'm well rested.
Of course, since I went to all this pain to make a webb page, you know by now that
I like to spend time on our computer at home. I have always been fascinated by
the computer sciences and  always said that in my next life I'll come back as
a computer related person.
I also spend a great amount of time watching Television, mostly movies, sports
and news (what else is left). Ah! No Soaps, those have to be the most depressing,
worthless and life problem creating programs there are. You really have to be brain
dead to follow soaps.
When I have time I like to go to the movie theater for an excellent movie.
Once a month, on the average, we (when I say we it's  my wife and I) also go to
the theater for a live play.
I love all kinds of music (We have two excellent music systems at home) except for
Heavy Metal (it's like banging pots and pants together) and Rap (too opiniated and
not always the right philosophy).
I used to play Tennis and loved it but my partner (Wife) hurt her knee and can't play
any more, so the interest is no longer there.
My biggest binge lately though, has been playing Bridge on the net. I'm not a great
player yet, since I had not played bridge for twenty five years, but I hold my own
and I'm getting better fast. I love playing on the net, it's marvellous to meet all kinds
of people and fellow players from anywhere in the world. Maybe people should play
Bridge on the net instead of make Wars.
 When I have time I like to go for long walk or short runs, or go hiking, or biking
or skiing or (anything else you want to know? Is that enough?)
Ah! another thing people should make: Love instead of Wars.
